Development of RAA: from Young Team to Key Stakeholder
ERGO’s partner Roma Active Albania participates in the Strengthening the Roma Voice programme since 2006, when it was founded. Four years later, RAA developed into a key player in Albanian Roma civil society and an expert in activating a large variety of Roma groups. Roma Active Albania became an influential stakeholder: government officials consult RAA for the development of policies, while RAA critically follows their implementation the same time. The uniqueness is in building capacity of Roma groups to stand up for their rights to be treated as equal citizens, while at the same time being free to express their Roma identity. Read more...
